This was a bad idea. The words go through my head several times, while looking up at what should be a breathtaking view of the stars on a crisp, clear night. A heavy, ominous feeling of anticipation smothers the picturesque scene. Perhaps its the bullet-riddled trees and decimated tree limbs that surround me. Perhaps it is the knowledge that the enemy is looking at the same stars from no further away than my voice can travel. Perhaps its the fact that one of their drones just hovered over me at a height of no more than 50 feet. The mechanical demon, with red LED eyes, glaring down at me through its thermal camera while the moonlit sky outlines its silhouette. I stare back at the camera, knowing that I am locking eyes with someone who desperately wants to kill me ...
